The year is 2577...

The Solar System is at war with an alien empire, the Scarlet Dominion. Thanks to a mistake in the calculation, nobody expected to jump out of slipspace in the Epsilon Eridani system, the heart of their empire. The leader of this galactic superpower, the Scarlet Emperor, took it as an act of war. Because of the weirdness of these mix of people, the Scarlet Emperor declared war against the Solarians.

The Scarlet Dominion is a galactic empire that is led by the Scarlet Emperor. The empire is situated in Gamma Eridani, Delta Eridani, and Eta Eridani, while the heart of the empire is in the Epsilon Eridani system. It serves as the melting pot of different alien races and cultures, still, most living under the oppression of 'The Pure', the original alien race that produced the legendary Scarlet Dynasty.The Epsilon Eridani system, being the capital of the empire, is guarded by the legendary Kalmár - a legendary entity that is almost as old as the galaxy itself.

As mentioned above, the Scarlet Dominion is a melting pot for various alien races - most notable ones are the Pures, the Andromi, the Viridi, and the Efferi. All races, with the exception of the Pures, had to choose between extinction or the conquest of their race. They all chose survival.The Andromi, as the name indicates, originate from the Andromeda Galaxy. Their most notable features are the bluish-tinted skin and yellow eyes. Their resistance destroyed most of the population, therefore, the Empire keeps it alive by genetically engineered clones. Most males look like twins because of that.The Viridi originates from the Tau Ceti system. They were the first among the three resistant races that signed a peace treaty with the Scarlet Dominion. Greenish skin and yellow eyes are their main characteristics, besides their exceptional intelligence.The Efferi comes from the Proxima Centauri system. Their main characteristics are their red eyes and orangeish/yellowish skin tone. They are the most undeveloped out of the four races, they haven't developed space travel yet before they were conquered.

The Pioneer is a Hammerhead class explorer vessel that was made for deep space exploration. It's the first of its kind, its durability often makes the crew think that the spaceship has a soul. The Pioneer saved its crew many times, every member calling it their very own lucky charm.As the primary objective is exploration, stealth was a crucial element in the vessel's design for observational purposes.Red Team - who is responsible for expeditions - is currently led by Sagan Banevine, the elf star astronaut who was among those travellers who first made contact with the Scarlet Dominion. The expedition crew originally had five members, but under tragic circumstances one of them died.
